Reach Out needs your help to make transitioning easier for our children and youth 


The list below is a small list of items we know homes are in need of. You are not restricted to this list. We are looking for people to donate AND deliver these items to those families we identify. Please email to share what you have to donate (include pictures in the email) and we will match your item(s) with a family to deliver to. 

  • Furniture (please note mattresses must be new)

  • Washing machine

  • Dryer

  • Laptops

  • Curtains /blinds

  • Kitchen supplies (Pots, pans, crockery etc..)

If you do not have items to donate but would like to help then contact and express you are willing to finance the purchase of new items. When a need arises we can contact you and arrange for the purchase!

Adopt a family in transition and create a Family Fun Kit! Email us and we will give you the size of the family and age of the children and you can create a kit. Our Family Fun Kits are made up of event passes, food vouchers, and activities for the home. Once done we would pick up from you or have you deliver direct to the appropriate DCFS office.

If you have corporate connections to venues or restaurants that can donate then please contact us at If you would like to donate new activities or gift cards, then purchase from our Amazon list called Family Fun Kits!

Items you can donate individually:

  • Unused restaurant gift cards

  • Games/activities 

  • Gift cards to local attractions


All of our 4 transitional initiatives need funding, but our Housing Project and Family Fun Kits are the 2 that run primarily on your donations. When donating, simply include a phrase indicating which initiative you are donating funds for.
